Remote Online Notarization allows you to meet with a commissioned Florida online notary through a secure live audio-video session. Your identity is verified, and the document is signed and notarized electronically. 

No. You may be located outside Florida while completing your online notarization. However, the Florida online notary must be physically located in Florida, and the receiving organization must accept remotely notarized documents. 

You will need an acceptable government-issued photo ID. You must also successfully complete the platform’s secure credential analysis and identity-verification process. 

No. Please leave all required signature and initial fields blank until you are connected with the notary and instructed to sign electronically. 

Yes, witnesses may participate through the live audio-video session when permitted for the document. Witness requirements can vary, so please notify Notary Jo before your appointment if witnesses are needed. 

Yes. Florida law requires the audio-video session to be recorded and securely retained by the Remote Online Notarization service provider.
